The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), has been at the forefront of addressing health care disparities and community health needs. The Office of Diversity and Outreach (ODO) serves as the campus leader in building diversity in all aspects of the UC San Francisco mission through ongoing assessment, development of new programs and building consensus.
College of Marin and the University of California, San Francisco have partnered to offer College of Marin students the opportunity to work with the Office of Diversity and Outreach communications team to support projects for the ODO, creates campaigns and communications, and contributes to departmental/university initiatives through internship positions. Student interns will have an introduction to institutional internal and external communcations, as well as develop an understanding of communication that centers equity, belonging, and accessibility. As students cover topics; such as brand identity and style guides, there wll be a focus on the application of critical thinking and research skills.
