APRIL SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES

#DreamSF Fellowship - April 1st

The DreamSF Fellowship is a paid leadership and professional development program for immigrants in the Bay Area. This program is welcome to everyone who meets the minimum qualifications. You can apply regardless of your immigration status.

Eligibility:

18 years of age or older
Living in the Bay Area
Available 20 hours a week
Available from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm every Friday
Proficient in English
You also need to be currently enrolled, planning to enroll in, or recent graduate from an educational program such as a 2 or 4-year university or trade school.

Davis Putter Scholarship Fund - April 1st

need to be involved in movements for progressive social change
enrolled in a degree, trade or training program
have financial need.

MG James Ursano Scholarship Program for Dependent Army Children – April 1st

Student must be a dependent of a Soldier on federal active duty, a retired Soldier, or a deceased active or deceased retired Soldier. Children of National Guard/Reserve Soldiers are eligible if the Soldier is on Title 10 Orders for the entire academic year.
Student must be registered as a dependent of the Solider in DEERS (Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System).
Student must be under the age of 24 (eligibility ends at the end of the semester/term in which the student reaches their 24th birthday. Example – turning 24 in December would mean the scholarship would be awarded for fall term ONLY.)
Student must remain unmarried for the entire academic year.
Student must not be a member of the National Guard, Reserves, or other military branch.
Student must be enrolled, accepted, or pending acceptance as a full-time student in an accredited post-secondary or vocational institution listed in the US Department of Education’s Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions
Student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Any MG James Ursano Scholarship recipient who also receives funding from other sources (i.e. GI Bill, scholarships, VA benefits, etc.) may not be eligible to receive their full scholarship from AER.

American Indian Education Fund Scholarship – April 4th

Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian (student or one parent must be enrolled and have documentation)
Attending an accredited 2 or 4-year college/university or technical/vocational school
Must be enrolled as a full-time student
GPA between 2.0 - 3.5 is desirable, however, ALL current or future undergraduate students are encouraged to apply
An ACT score of 14 or above is desirable
Online schools and summer programs are not applicable

ScholarSHPE (Society of Hispanic Engineers) - April 14th

Grants, scholarships, and career development resources and events for Hispanic engineers and engineering students

Active SHPE Member (To become an active member, please visit shpe.org and select “Join” in the top right hand corner of the webpage.)
Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.5 (This is a cumulative GPA as listed on the transcript of your latest academic institution.)
Plan to pursue a STEM degree
Attending an academic institution in the United States or Puerto Rico

Matt Fong Asian Americans in Public Finance Scholarship – April 15th

Grade level: Full-time undergraduate at a four year college/university in 2023-24
Ethnic heritage: Asian heritage (at least 50%)
A minimum GPA of 3.0
Major: Social Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
Preference given to those with interest in public sector work or those with community service and community advocacy

INCIGHT Scholarship - April 15th

NEW REQUIREMENT: You must be a current Washington, Oregon or California resident
You must have a disability. This can be any type of disability as it is defined by the ADA, DSM-V, IDEA, or other governing body. This classification includes, but is not limited to:
- Autism
- Deaf-blindness
- Deafness
- Development delay
- Emotional disturbance
- Hearing impairment
- Intellectual disability
- Multiple disabilities
- Orthopedic impairment
- Other health impairment
- Specific learning disability
- Speech or language impairment
- Traumatic brain injury

You must be attending higher education during the funding cycle following your application (2022-2023 School Year.) This includes college, university, community college, or vocational school. You may be pursuing any type of degree within these institutions (Associates Degree, Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate, etc.)
You must be enrolled and provide enrollment verification to INCIGHT.

BHW Women in STEM Scholarship - April 15th

Women who are pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree and are majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics during the 2020 school year.

College of Marin Student Scholarship - April 23rd

You must be a current or future COM student to apply for scholarships.

RentHop Scholarship - April 30th

You must be a current student in an eligible undergraduate program or a graduating high school senior, working towards a bachelors degree or associates degree.

All About Education Scholarship - April 30th

This award is for U.S. students

Great Minds in STEM Scholarship Program - April 30th

Applicants must demonstrate merit through academic achievements, leadership and campus/community activities
Applicants must be pursuing a science, technology, engineering or math degree
Applicants must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for merit-based scholarships. Applicants may have a minimum 2.5 GPA for non-merit-based donor scholarships.
Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or must demonstrate significant leadership or service within the underserved community
Applicants may be enrolled full-time or part-time at the time of application and the time of the scholarship award
Applicants must be enrolled in a STEM or health-related undergraduate or graduate program for the upcoming fall semester, at an accredited 2-yr or 4-yr college/university in the U.S. or its territories.
If you have already earned a bachelors degree and are seeking support for another bachelors degree OR you have already earned a masters degree and are seeking support for another masters degree OR you have already earned a doctoral degree and are seeking support for another doctoral degree, you are ineligible to apply to this scholarship program.

GMiS California Health Sciences Scholarships – April 30th

Be a member of a traditionally underrepresented group in the health sciences
Be pursuing a health-related undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico with at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA (On a 4.0 scale)
Be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA).
Additional preference will be given to applicants, who:
Are pursuing careers in the areas of mental health, rehabilitative, geriatric medical specialties, or individuals with disabilities

The Tang Scholarship - April 30th (5pm)

Self-identified as Asian/Pacific Islander and gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender; (at least 25% API ancestry); and involved in the GLBT community;
Graduate from a high school in one of the nine Bay Area counties; Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara County, Napa, Sonoma or Solano;
Scholarship will be awarded for full-time (minimum 12 units for all semesters/quarters) enrollment in an accredited two, four-year university or graduate school; (college, university, community college or vocational school).
United States citizen or legal resident;
Demonstrated financial hardship;
Demonstrated academic promise;
Minimum unweighted grade point average 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) for all schools attended or attending;
Be between the age of 17 and 25 on 30 April 2024

MAY SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINES

WIFLE Scholarship Program - May 1st

Physically attend and be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university; or be currently enrolled in a full-time in a fully accredited community college with the intention of transferring to a four-year degree;
Have completed at least one full academic year of college work at an accredited college or university or community college;
Major in Criminal Justice or related discipline such as social sciences, public administration, computer science, finance, linguistic arts, chemistry, physics, etc., leading to a four-year degree (Students in graduate and postgraduate programs are also eligible; students pursuing Associate degrees are not eligible, unless as stated above, fully articulate in the application their intention to transfer to a four-year program.);
Have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point (GPA) average;
Demonstrate a commitment to the community through a 500-word essay describing their involvement in a community project, and the results or impact of that involvement to the community; OR, if the applicant if currently serving or has served an internship with a law enforcement agency, preferably a federal law enforcement agency, the applicant must provide details including the name if the agency, the dates served and describe the value of the experience and the accomplishment through the internship in a 500-word essay;
Have at least one community leader or member of a community or police official sponsor their application with a written statement of support;
Submit a completed application with the required information, 500-word essay, transcripts, and a recommendation letter from a community leader or police official;
Be a citizen of the United States

Deblinger Family Scholarship - May 17th

Single, female parents who are the heads of their households
Currently enrolled in a community college to obtain an associate’s degree, certificate or in a four-year college transfer program
Students who already have an AA degree and are planning to transfer to a four-year college, are also eligible
Applicants must already be accepted into an accredited nonprofit school/program before applying for a scholarship
Current residents of Alameda County, San Francisco County, Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, and San Mateo County; preference will be given to residents of Oakland, San Francisco, East Palo Alto, San José and Watsonville.
Minimum cumulative G.P.A of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and in good academic standing
Demonstrate financial need

Against the Grain Artistic Scholarship – May 31st

Must be of at least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity
Must be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S.
Must be either a high school senior or a college student currently enrolled fulltime at an accredited U.S. vocational, junior college, or four-year college/university and must be a full- time, associate/bachelor/master degree seeking student by the upcoming academic calendar year and pursuing a major in the visual/performing arts (film, theatre, fashion, photography, graphic design, dance, music, journalism, mass communications, etc.)
Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)

American Indian College Fund - May 31st

To be eligible, students must be an enrolled member (or a descendant of one) of a federally or state-recognized tribe while demonstrating a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 and maintaining full-time enrollment.

2023 Behind The Wheel Scholarship - May 31st

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program within the United States
Applicants must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher

Association on American Indian Affairs Scholarship – May 31st

Be enrolled with your respective Tribe, either federally recognized or non-federally recognized Tribe, from the continental US or Alaska.
Submit a copy of Tribal enrollment (there is no minimum blood quantum requirement for eligibility). This can be a copy of the student's Tribal I.D. card or a copy of an official letter from the Tribe. You must be directly recognized as a citizen or member of your Tribal Nation.
Be enrolled as full-time student.
Have a minimum 2.5 out of 4.0 GPA.
Submit a current class schedule and transcript.
Attend an accredited institution seeking an Associate's Degree or higher (the Association does not fund certificate programs or seminaries).
Provide essays described in the application that show the student’s connection to their Tribal Nation and Indian Country.

The Richard Rawle Memorial Scholarship - June 1st

Be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college in the United States
Be enrolled full-time
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Submit at least 1 reference letter
Submit a scholarship essay
The scholarship essay should be at least 500 words
The scholarship essay should answer the following prompt: “How have you given back to your community and what did you learn in the process?”

CALIFORNIA LATINO LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM- June 1st

Be a full time student (undergraduate or graduate) in good academic standing at an accredited college or university, OR
Be a graduating high school senior with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.
Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5
Submit a completed application along with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline.

Roshan Rahbari Scholarship Fund - June 2nd

Current resident of California
Current community college student transferring to a four-year college or university on a part-time or full-time basis
Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
Demonstrated service to community or school
Demonstrated financial need
Character qualities such as integrity, compassion and generosity

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship – June 10th

The A&F Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.
Respond 500-1000 words to this prompt:
- Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree/major, why you selected it, and how this degree/major will help you achieve your goals.

KMF Ninja Professional Development Scholarship Program - June 15th

Applicants must be enrolled as full-time college junior or senior at any U.S. college, university, or vocational school for the 2023-2024 academic year, beginning in September.
restricted to students majoring in business, economics, or computer science.

Paul Tunnell Career Climb Scholarship – June 30th

Applicants must be actively employed in the long-term care industry at the time of application and award
Planning to continue working at a Skilled Nursing Facility, Assisted Living or in Long Term Care
Applicants must have one year of work experience in long-term care
Applicants must complete the application form in its entirety, including essay and two (2) letters of reference for submission to be considered
Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition, textbooks and required materials associated with your education. (QCHF reserves the right to request proof of required materials) To request scholarship funds; recipient must submit receipts and a fund request form and proof of required materials when requested.

UC and CSU Scholarships:

Middle Class Scholarship provides undergraduate students with family incomes up to $150,000 a scholarship to attend University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) campuses.

UC's Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan makes it so that you will not have to pay UC’s systemwide tuition and fees if you are a California resident whose total family income is less than $80,000 a year and you qualify for financial aid.

To qualify for either of these scholarship, file your FAFSA or California Dream Act Application by the priority filing deadline of March 2nd.

Transfer Student Scholarship
By the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, community college students with a 3.5 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and are transfer bound are eligible to earn a scholarship worth $30,000 a year.
