College of Marin and Buck Institute have partnered to offer College of Marin students the opportunity to investigate critical molecular and biological drivers of aging as well as the research of new therapies that could improve healthspan. Research assistant interns will participate in the research to combat diseases of aging, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, macular degeneration, heart disease and diabetes under the guidance of a scientific mentor. Student interns will develop critical thinking, laboratory and communication skills through training. The communication training will involve presentations of their work to peers, mentors, and other scientists.
