Pathways to Four-Year Universities is a partnership between UC Berkeley and College of Marin. Pathways is a resource for California community college students who are interested in applying to UC Berkeley or another four-year university and includes the following components:
Advising
Pathway advisers from UC Berkeley help students develop a portfolio of Summer Session classes at UC Berkeley that will pave the way to meeting transfer requirements. Advisers also support students throughout the admissions and transfer process to ensure that students receive accurate transfer information.
Coursework
California community college students have access to over 600 summer courses through Berkeley Summer Sessions, where they take key prerequisites or gateway courses to most majors at UC Berkeley, other UC campuses, and many four-year institutions.
Financial Aid
College of Marin has a unique financial aid agreement with Berkeley Summer Sessions that allows eligible US students to transfer any available federal financial aid to cover Summer Sessions classes.
