Articulation with CSU & UC

There are two public school systems in California: The University of California (UCs) and the California State Universities (CSUs). California Community Colleges have developed articulation agreements with both the UC and CSU systems. These agreements can be found on ASSIST.org.

What is ASSIST.org

The website ASSIST.org is the official repository of articulation agreements for California Community Colleges with the UCs and CSUs. Agreements on ASSIST.org can be viewed by department or major, depending on the institution. Students often find the agreements BY MAJOR to be most helpful.

Transfer Admissions Guarantees (TAG)

The TAG Program provides students with a guaranteed pathway to six of the UC campuses (UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz). Requirements vary based on institution and major. If you meet the requirements for your institution and major, you are 100% guaranteed admission to that campus.

Associate Degree for Transfer (ADTs)

California Community Colleges and partnering institutions (CSUs, HBCUs, and other private and independent California colleges and universities) created a transfer program that makes it easier for community college students to transfer to a guaranteed spot at a participating four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree. By completing an associate of arts degree for transfer (AA-T) or associate of science degree for transfer (AS-T), students are guaranteed admission into one of the 23 CSUs and guaranteed to graduate within 60 units of transfer. In addition, some institutions offer a GPA boost for students who have completed an ADT. Learn more at Icangotocollege.com. Find out if your institution participates in the ADT program:

The final responsibility for successfully achieving an educational goal lies with the student. Information found on these web pages is designed to be helpful; however, information is subject to frequent changes so students should always consult with a counselor to ensure successful transfer. You can make an appointment with a counselor through your MyCOM Portal or by calling (415) 485-9432
