CARE is an additional support program for EOPS students who are single parents with a child/children under 18 years old and currently receiving CalWORKs (cash aid)/TANF.
Eligibility
To qualify for CARE, students must:
- Be a CalWORKs or TANF participant
- Have at least one child under 18 years old
- Be a single-parent head of household
- Be eligible for the EOPS program
Services
In addition to all of the EOPS services, CARE students also receive:
- Textbooks and school supplies
- Parking permits
- Transportation grants
- Lunch vouchers
- Gas cards
- Priority registration
- Customized workshops
- Academic, career, and personal counseling
- Scholarships
How to Apply to CARE
To apply for CARE, let the EOPS staff know you are a single parent with a child under 18 and that you or your child are currently receiving cash aid.
