CARE

CARE is an additional support program for EOPS students who are single parents with a child/children under 18 years old and currently receiving CalWORKs (cash aid)/TANF.


Eligibility

To qualify for CARE, students must:

  • Be a CalWORKs or TANF participant
  • Have at least one child under 18 years old
  • Be a single-parent head of household
  • Be eligible for the EOPS program

 

Services

In addition to all of the EOPS services, CARE students also receive:

  • Textbooks and school supplies
  • Parking permits
  • Transportation grants
  • Lunch vouchers
  • Gas cards
  • Priority registration
  • Customized workshops
  • Academic, career, and personal counseling
  • Scholarships

 

How to Apply to CARE 

To apply for CARE, let the EOPS staff know you are a single parent with a child under 18 and that you or your child are currently receiving cash aid.
