The Resume & Cover Letter workshop is designed to help students create, update, and strengthen their professional application materials for health care-related jobs, internships, clinical opportunities, and educational programs. Whether you are entering the field for the first time or seeking to advance your career, this workshop will provide practical guidance on how to effectively present your skills, education, certifications, volunteer experience, and career goals to employers.
Participants will learn:
- How to create a professional and industry-focused résumé
- Strategies for highlighting relevant coursework, clinical experience, volunteer work, and transferable skills
- Tips for writing a compelling cover letter tailored to health care employers
- Current résumé and cover letter best practices
- How to avoid common application mistakes
- Ways to stand out to recruiters and hiring managers in the health care field
Students are encouraged to bring an existing résumé for review or start a new résumé during the workshop. Career Services staff will be available to provide feedback and answer questions.
