Attend College of Marin's Fall 2023 Career and Exploration Fair!
We invite College of Marin students to attend and meet with representatives from local and well-respected organizations to find a job or internship related to your career. Explore career and expand your knowledge on research opportunities! Come with questions and bring your resume.
In preparation for the Career Fair, the Counseling Office is hosting a series of events to help students prepare for their meetings with potential employers:
- Register for College of Marin's virtual job board, Handshake to find current job opportunities and connect with employers. Once active on Handshake, students will have access to the online job board that has over a thousand Marin-based employers who have already posted internships, full-time and part-time jobs. The job board is updated daily with new employers and new jobs.
- Career Exploration Class – Get prepared for your job search by enrolling in the Career Exploration class (COUN 133). This introductory course provides students with a practical approach to making career and educational decisions.
- Resume Review - COM students are invited to a drop-in session and have their resume reviewed by experts. Counselors will be on hand to provide suggestions to make your resume more professional, polish your objective statement, and give input on formatting. Stop by the Counseling Office in the Student Services Building, room 206 on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 12 pm — 2 pm.
